This book includes a synthesis of the 60 country studies undertaken within the context of the AWO survey studies projects. These studies covered a survey of programs undertaken for the empowerment of women in twelve member statesin the fields of education , health, media, economy and politics.

The book synthesis the lessons drawn from these surveys in planning and implementing projects for the women empowerment and the outputs of such projects.
