  Arab Women E-Library

The idea for creating an electronic library was proposed by H.R.H. Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Organization during its session (2005 -2007). Her Royal Highness kindly donated the funds for its creation and operation for a period of five years and launched it within the proceedings of AWO’s First Conference (Bahrain: 13-15 November 2006).

The Library is an electronic database of scientific sources, relevant to Arab Women, issued in Arabic, English and French in various fields. It comprises books, studies, academic theses, reports, documents, training manuals and indices for evaluating the status of Arab women and its indicators.

The library aims to acquaint researchers in women studies, and those concerned with their issues with the references and sources they may need in their studies or writings. By such information the library seeks to facilitate the work of those interested in such issues in the Arab academic fields and among Arab intellectuals and writers. Through this research service, the library endeavors to contribute towards the consolidation of women studies in the Arab region, to ease access to women’s issues and to enhance specialized literature in the field.

E-Library's interface is in Arabic,However Data is in (Arabic,English,French).
