Head of the economic division as the Consultation and Research Institute (CRI), which was founded in Beirut in 1977.
· Member in several expert committees that have been assembled by the Council of Ministers in Lebanon and which are related to various economic issues such as the public sector, economic growth and development, privatization programs, reforming the national social security fund, and strategies for urban planning and development
· Consultant to several previous Ministers of the Economy regarding different subjects amongst which are competitiveness of institutions, prices and wages, consumer protection, development of the micro and small enterprises sector, and fighting monopolization.
· Held consulting positions in a number of international institutions such as the UNDP. World Bank, UNICEF, ESCWA, ILO, UNRISD, and the EU.
· Supervised tens of studies related to a wide range of subjects, as part of his position at CRI. The studies cover topics such as community development strategies, evaluation of the economic situation is Lebanon over different periods of time, studying the labor market and the role of women in that field, studying poverty, inflation, unemployment, the sectors of education, health and others. The scope of the studies has also covered the MENA region countries aside from Lebanon.
· Has a number of publications and contributions in Arab, French and English periodicals. Among these works is a book published in France under the title:”The Lebanese war: Confessions, Social Classes and the National Identity” (published in French).
· Member of the Lebanese Economists Association
· Founding member of the ERF (Economic Research Forum)
· Member of the Arab Association for Economic Research (Egypt)
· Holder of a Specialization Diploma in the French Petroleum Institute (1973) and Masters degree in Economics from the Universite Saint Joseph (USJ), Beirut (1971)
